[2.6.13] Searching chat history returns the current search chat as well

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When using the “Find with agent” feature in chat history, one of the chats it returns is itself, which is obviously not useful.

Steps to Reproduce

Use “Find with agent” and see if one of the results is the current chat session that is doing the search.

As you can see there are two that end in search request, and one of them is the current chat. I did the test twice, so there are now two results that were search requests.

Expected Behavior

Should ignore transcripts that were used with “Find with agent”

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. I can see the issue in the screenshots. The current search session shouldn’t show up in its own results, and duplicates keep piling up with each repeated search.

I’ve passed this on to the team. Let me know if you notice anything else.
