Use smaller models for simpler tasks. Just press Ctrl+/ and you’ll save a ton of money!

However, small models cannot use agents, and their performance is not that great either. They can only handle a limited number of simple questions.

500/30 is so f…ing too less… i use 100 a day…

You guys want everything for free.
500 premium requests is already a fair price IMO. Of course, I would say YES to more credits, but let’s be fair—this is a business. You are already getting FREE unlimited slow requests.
Some competitors are not only charging for your premium requests but also deduct credits for each agent step.
As soon as LLMs get cheaper and cheaper (and they will in the future), we will probably get more credits or a completely changed usage plan.
I mean, guys, you can just insert your own API key in the settings and see the bill yourself. It’s not funny.

not sure what your hourly wage is

$20 / 30 / 8 = $0.08333333

I assume most engs can earn at least $5 or $10 per hour?

Is this guy coding 30 days a month? Take a break and go touch some grass, man.

the people I know who code 30 days a month barely use AI. They use Vim.

YES you have unlimited slow requests. Let’s be real: There’s no free money even in AI.

For me, most of the problems encountered during development are solved by ds-v3.1, which is free and does not consume any requests. Only when there is a need to generate a large amount of modular code, Claude 3.7 thinking is used. I just checked the company’s Git statistics for the past three months, and we developed around 80,000 lines of code. Excluding configurations, comments, and business code, there should be about 40,000 lines. I mainly work with Golang 60%, Java 20%, Python 10%, and Other 10%.

slow reguests are not free I pay 20$ a month

but if I cant quickly configure it in chat, if I want to use slow or fast, the 500 are quickly gone…

if you dev everyday after your job on your own project lets say 2 hours, i use 50+ requests, i ont knwo how its caloculated, but i understand every message is minimum 1 request, if it sbigger it meybe more request. Since you have docs, rules, basecode which all gets sent to AI… it gets big very quick…

especially if I have to erase 50% of the AI-Ansers and ask again, since the AI got very bad with the last cursor updates..

again. Go and insert your own API key.
You will see the bills.

not same.

even you buy a coke in the park is not the same price as buy in the supermarket.

they buy in bulk, there is discount.
sometimes buy in bulk have a discount that you cant imagine.

and some ppl claims… that sometimes, non-claude requests are counted as claude request etc.
