Hi! I regularly use both VS Code and Cursor. I usually use VS Code for editing individual small files or configuration files, while I use Cursor when I want to open and work with an entire project folder.
Recently, VS Code introduced a more modern, card-based workspace design with rounded corners (Visual Studio Code 1.129).
Some parts of Cursor’s UI have already adopted the more modern rounded-corner design that has become common in recent years, such as the Agent Window and some of the UI elements in the top-left corner. However, the overall IDE interface still has a rather sharp, square-cornered appearance that feels somewhat reminiscent of the Windows 10 era.
I understand that this has nothing to do with development efficiency or software stability. However, once you start noticing the visual inconsistency, it can be surprisingly distracting and makes the overall UI feel a little uncomfortable.
I’m wondering if the Cursor team has any plans to update or modernize the overall UI and visual design in the future?
