Add back the ability to create new agent in chat plane

There used to be a ‘+’ button to add new agent directly. Now I have to open the agent sidebar first (which is too large to be kept open during normal work on a laptop) and create new agent from there
Alternatively, give back the keyboard shortcut to create new agent. Ctrl + I used to create new agent, now it switches mode
Please tell me if there is an existing workaround

Hey, thanks for the feedback. The + button to create a new agent is in Editor mode, not in Agent mode. This is a known UI change.

To create a new agent, switch to Editor mode in one of these ways:

• Press Cmd+E to quickly toggle between modes
• Or open Cursor Settings and switch there

After switching to Editor mode, you’ll see the + button next to the chat again.

You can also use Cmd+N or Cmd+T to create new agents.
