Add “Reveal in Finder / File Explorer” to the project context menu

Hi Cursor team,

I’d like to request an option to quickly open a project’s local folder from the project or workspace list.

When right-clicking a project, the context menu could include:

  • Reveal in Finder on macOS
  • Show in File Explorer on Windows
  • Open in Files on Linux
  • Copy Project Path

Currently, when I need to locate a project folder, I have to manually find its path in the system file manager. This is inconvenient, especially when managing multiple projects with similar names.

Expected interaction:

Right-click a project in the Recent Projects / Workspaces list → Reveal in Finder / File Explorer.

This would make it much easier to browse generated files, copy project folders, manage local files, or open the directory in other tools.

Thanks!

Hey, good request. This isn’t available on the project rows in the list right now. The menu only supports Open in IDE, so you have to find the folder manually.

This same request was raised recently and logged as a feature request: Agents projects list: Open in Explorer Agents projects list: Open in Explorer + collapse/expand projects. Also, I want to call out “Copy Project Path”. That wasn’t in that thread, so I’ll add it to the request.

There’s no guarantee or timeline for implementation yet, but the request is recorded. I’ll merge your thread with the existing one so the activity and votes are in one place and can help with prioritization.
