Seems like it’s available through their API but you aren’t using it at the moment: Swagger UI
(Searching for extensions in cursor is often frustrating at the moment because there are numerous extensions that have high numbers of downloads and drown out what I actually want.
Which is probably why relevance is actually the default for both the Open VSX site and the VS Code Marketplace. And I would recommend also making it the default after adding it.)

I agree that sorting by relevance, and making it the default like on Open VSX and the VS Code Marketplace, is the right behavior. The extension search order has come up in a few threads already, so this request is familiar. Popular extensions pushing down what you’re actually looking for is a known pain point.
I’ve logged this as a separate request to add a relevance sort control in the extension browser. I can’t share an ETA yet, but if there’s an update in this area, I’ll post it in the thread.
