It does seem weird that the two UIs to the same chats have different sets of tools. Expose at least `rename_chat` in the editor view too please.

There are quite a few requests for this feature! Without searching hard:

> My use case: Many chats’ purpose is to work on a feature/fix and open a pr. Renaming the chat’s with the pr’s purpose would really help to organize multiple chats running simultaneously

> Feature request for product/service Chat Describe the request Summary Add a title (or chat\_title) output field to the stop hook so that agents and hook scripts can set the chat’s sidebar title at the end of a session. Problem Cursor auto-generates a chat title from the first message, which tends to produce generic names like “Can you help me with…” rather than something meaningful like “PRD-043 — Report Theming QA Fixes”. Power users who work on named tickets, PRDs, bugs, or features across…

> Feature request for product/service Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Linear,…) Describe the request The list of agents can get hard to manage in all Cursor product surfaces. Would be helpful if there was a native Cursor tool call that could rename an agent i.e. the agent’s name field. For example, we have agents that carry out a lifecycle (code, test, review, deploy, etc). If an agent could change its name, then we could reflect those states in the agent name (prefix, emoji, etc) so it’s easy to se…

> Feature request for product/service Cursor IDE Describe the request I run many agent chats in parallel (multiple worktrees / conversations). I can’t tell at a glance which one is actively working, which is waiting for my input, and which is blocked — nor which role each plays (dev / PM / QA / reviewer). I have to open each chat to know its state. Request: let an agent set and update a short status label for its OWN conversation, so the chat list / Agents window reflects live state. For example…
