After launching Cursor, the Windows Command Prompt window keeps popping up repeatedly

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When I’m using the Cursor IDE, Windows CMD windows sometimes pop up frequently and immediately close. This issue only started after a recent update, and it also occurs with Agent Windows. The windows pop up and close repeatedly even when no session is active.

Steps to Reproduce

No idea how to reproduce this bug—it just happens as soon as I open Cursor.
But I do have a popup blocker log tool that can catch this anomaly.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi @Aebestach_Z

Thank you for reporting this! Sorry you are running into this.

This is a known issue on Windows, and our engineering team is actively investigating. I’ve added your report to the bug ticket where we’re tracking this issue.

Do you have the full process path + command line from their popup-blocker log? That would be a helpful data point!

I saw these two. But I can’t see the command itself, because the window disappears in a flash.

cmd.exe is popping up crazy when an agent is running and it is not getting closes, ultimately freezing the machine to do anything.
Is there any update on this issue or any fixes or workarounds? This is issue is deeply impacting my work.

This was reported already and fixed. Seems like the bug is popping again.

@Colin Do you have any update on this? This is making the life harder work with Cursor.
