For the new Cursor Agent:
Default SCM action: "commit on current branch” rather than “Create new Branch and commit”
Or a way to customize the default for the “commit” button.
REASON: I was trying to access the dropdown and missed the target and got an unwanted new branch.
Take a look at OpenAI’s new Codex app. They do it exactly right. I love that flow (and the leave blank for auto fill on the commit message).
