Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey @Sav_Admin, thanks for the report, and for including the Request ID.

That timeout means the request never left your Mac. The agent’s local helper inside the Agents Window did not start within its time budget, so nothing reached our servers, which is also why every model shows the same error. On macOS 27 the most common cause we are seeing is an older Intel-only copy of git that macOS 27 can no longer run, because the upgrade does not carry Rosetta over.

Could you try this:

  1. Fully quit Cursor (Cursor menu → Quit Cursor, and check Activity Monitor that no Cursor process is left).
  2. Open Terminal and run: file "$(which git)"
  3. If the output mentions x86_64 and not arm64, run: softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license (or remove the old copy with sudo rm -f /usr/local/bin/git so macOS’s built-in git is used instead).
  4. Reopen Cursor and send a short message like “hello” in a new chat in the Agents Window.

thanks Colin, this resolved the issue for me.
