Yeah, it’s painfully obvious Cursor devs see Win+WSL as the poor cousins.
We really need someone who loves this setup to be a fundamental part of the QA team.

Be careful with antigravity if you want to try it, and i think someone try change some traffic price and make issue in cursor, need wait i think. Nah u can del data and cash, then on sart without history and new settings, disable http2, u can work with 2-3 chat, then need circle of cleans data/cash

Today’s update adds a new feature that requires agreement confirmation when creating files. Do you guys think this is necessary? Is there a toggle switch to automatically agree to file creation?
Yes, this enhances safety without major drawbacks.
Safeguard = better coding for everyone.
Absolutely, and now please for the love of God have a rock solid optional setting to require a prompt for any file edits. Rogue edits are still my biggest issue with Cursor. For example - I ask evaluate the colors in a large group of files for slight variances, and it just goes and changes all of them. This should not require switching to ask mode every time. Any LLM can easily dinstinguish between directives and questions.
Same here. Win11 but ssh to Debian server.
Also getting this problem on v2.1.50 WSL, on every request (editor mode)
Just started happening, except there is no way to approve any edits, it just hangs indefinitely. This is insane, Cursor has managed to completely brick the only functionality of importance in their IDE. Learn how to conduct proper QA before creating a release.

Hey all - apologies for this. We think it should be resolved now.
I’m assuming the patch hasn’t been rolled out yet. It seemed to only do it for me when I was running Cursor with WSL (I have two docker workspaces - Docker Desktop on Windows with Hyper-V and Docker CE on WSL2). It seemed like the agent was only doing the accept nagging on my WSL2 projects.
I’m annoyed to say the least but have tried to remind myself that this agentic AI is the wild west frontier stuff of engineering and everybody - Cursor, Windsurf, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic - literally everybody - is basically just learning as they go. It’s a whole new world for senior devs like myself. Fun, but crazy. ![]()
It should be out/fixed! I think you may have to start a new chat and just restart the app. Please let me know if not.
No updates have come my way for Cursor, and even after closing and reopening it and starting a new chat, the “Accept” on every edit is still there.
Are you on Windows? I will investigate further
I’m on Windows 11 and also have no updates pending.
v2.1.50 is still the latest, there is no update.
Same with me, tasks pauses, askes for me to approve editing a file, or creating a file, but there is no “approve” or “allow” button, it just hangs waiting to allow it, but no way to allow it.
