Hey, I can see from your screenshot that the agent says “Thought briefly” and modified 7 files, but the response text is completely blank.
A couple of things to try:
- Start a brand new chat session and try the same prompt again
- Try switching to a different model (for example GPT-5.2 or Auto) instead of composer-1.5
- Run network diagnostics: Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics
Also, could you share:
- The Request ID from that session (click the chat context menu in the top right, then Copy Request ID)
- Does this happen every time, or was it a one-off?
Let me know how it goes.

this is the request id, I really curious whether it is cursor bug or claude bug or anything else. Thanks.

We checked your Request ID, and it looks like the sub-agent didn’t start for that request, so the response came back empty.
This might be a temporary issue. Please try the following and tell me what happens:
- Start a new chat session and send the same request again
- Try switching to a different model, like GPT-5.2 or Auto
- Does this happen every time, or was it only in that one session?
If it keeps happening, please run the network diagnostics in Cursor (Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics) and share the results here.
