I work simultaneously on a backend, frontend, and mobile app, usually in separate Cursor workspaces. Since these projects are tightly coupled, I constantly have to manually create handoff reports between Agents to keep them synchronized.
It would be extremely useful to have a multi-agent feature where Agents from different workspaces/repositories could communicate directly, especially in Plan Mode.
For example, the Backend Agent could plan an API change, the Frontend Agent could review that plan and determine the required frontend changes, and the Mobile Agent could do the same for the app. They could exchange plans, questions, assumptions, and feedback before implementation.
Essentially, an orchestrator Agent could coordinate multiple specialized Agents and let them collaborate on a single feature across multiple projects. This would eliminate a huge amount of manual handoff work and make multi-repository development much more efficient.
