# \`agent worker start\` fails on Windows: better-sqlite3 NODE\_MODULE\_VERSION 127 vs 137

### Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor CLI

### Describe the Bug

Cursor CLI 2026.10.01-e373342 on Windows (native PowerShell). Running `agent worker start --name lukas-pc` fails with “Error starting exec-daemon: The module …\cursor-agent\versions\2026.10.01-e373342\node\_modules\better-sqlite3\build\Release\better\_sqlite3.node was compiled against a different Node.js version using NODE\_MODULE\_VERSION 127. This version of Node.js requires NODE\_MODULE\_VERSION 137.” `agent update` did not help. Switching the system Node to 22 via fnm did not help either (system Node is 26.7.0), so the CLI seems to use its own bundled Node. Login works fine.

### Steps to Reproduce

Run `agent worker start --name lukas-pc` in PowerShell on Windows.
