Hey, I see you’re on version 2.6.11 from March 3, and it had known performance issues that have already been fixed. First, update Cursor to the latest version (currently 2.6.19+).
If the issue still happens after updating, based on your screenshot it looks like a known Auto mode bug where it generates nonsense text made up of mixed languages and system tokens instead of a real answer. As a workaround, try selecting a model manually instead of Auto, like Claude or GPT.
The team is aware of the Auto mode issue. If you still see glitches after updating and picking a model manually, send more details about what’s happening (any error messages, a screen recording) and the Request ID (top right of the chat > Copy Request ID).
