I consistently have the same issues where I’m getting the same prompts and I’m burning up all of my tokens by giving explicit instructions. It goes off on a tangent and does something incorrectly. I point this out, and while we agree to make a change, after I redeploy it and check again, I encounter the same issues. Sometimes it even degrades further. I try to restore the previous version and provide better instructions with more context, but it makes the same mistake again. I point out the error, and it loops back to the same answer.

At that point, I close the cursor, reopen it, and redo the steps to undo the changes, but it still doesn’t work. Ultimately, I realized it’s probably best for me to go into the code and do it myself, which I did. The whole idea was to use the cursor to simplify these tasks, but I’m currently having significant difficulties using the system. It seems to be getting gradually worse, even though I’m on the paid plan.

Please provide additional information so we can analyze the issue:

  • Which cursor version do you use?
  • Which model does have the issue described?
  • What kind of tasks are the prompts about and how do you work with AI?
  • Could you post a Request ID with privacy disabled so we can look into the details? Cursor – Getting a Request ID
