This appears separate from the Grok Bot issue on the status page. Your Agent attempts are timing out locally before reaching the model, across both Grok and Claude. This started after the update to Cursor 3.20.21 and isn’t caused by anything in your setup.
I’ve made a change on our side that should move your next Cursor session off the affected path. Please:
Open Task Manager and end every Cursor process.
Reopen Cursor.
Start a new Agent chat and send a short message such as “hello.”
Please let me know whether Agent responds normally afterward.
If it still hangs, press Ctrl+Shift+P, run Capture and Send Debugging Data, and accept the defaults. Please also copy the Request ID from the conversation menu and share it with the approximate time of the test. If the debugging command saves a zip file to your Desktop instead of uploading it, attach that file here.
The grok agents are unresponsive again. Just started happening.
I tried Claude Opus 4.6 and its responding to “are you there” requests appropriately.
Grok 4.6 Extra High is not responding currently.

Hi @CuriousKal Sorry about this! This error was due to high load, most likely related to a current service degradation with Grok models, more info here: https://status.cursor.com/
Feel free to try another model in the meantime, and the status page will be updated when everything is back to normal. Sorry for the inconvenience here!
@kevinn All models are unresponsive for me as well using any model. I’m currently on version 3.21.9 (Windows). Are you able to make a similar change to remove me from the affected path as well? I noticed this in the morning and haven’t been able to use the agent all day. Appreciate the help!
