Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue that can happen after updates, the extension host can get stuck in a crash loop.

A few things you can try:

  1. Launch Cursor from Terminal with cursor --disable-extensions. If everything works fine, it’s likely a conflict with a specific extension. Then you can turn extensions back on one by one to find the one causing it.

  2. If that doesn’t help, try downloading the previous stable version from Cursor · Download and roll back.

  3. Also, how big is your project, roughly how many files? There’s a known issue where very large workspaces can cause the extension host crash loop specifically in version 2.5.17.

The team is aware of extension host stability issues in this version. Your report helps us prioritize.

Let me know how it goes.

After update on version below everething is okay, thank you. I do nothing, only upgrade cursor.

My projects are not so big.
