It would be great if I could open files from links in chat in a configured external editor. It’s analogous to how workbench.externalBrowser works for URLs and would be a natural extension of that pattern.

hey @Paul_Grigoras, good analogy with workbench.externalBrowser; I don’t think we have an equivalent for chat file links today, those still open in Cursor’s editor.
