Allow file operations in file viewer in agents window

Hi,

The current files viewer in agents window doesn’t have full file system controls like copy/cut pasting files or deleting using keyboard shortcuts like delete key or F2 based renaming. Even the new file button creates a new file in the root instead of the selected folder unless I right click a folder and select new file (a weird ux)

It would be nice (or like fundamentally improve the ux on basics like this) if we could do regular file operations in that tab like:

  • Create files/folders in any directory using “new file” or “new folder” icon buttons on the top right like how it works in the editor file viewer.
  • Copy or Move files using shortcut keys or right click context window or dragging and dropping
  • Shortcut keys for other operations like delete and rename
  • Any other regular file operations one might do that I may be missing here in this list

Hi @nerdimite Thanks for fr! We’re working to bring more features like this to the agents’ view in an incremental manner. I have your request logged so we can let you know changes, but I can’t guarantee we are going to act on this right away as we have a lot of competing priorities.
