Always connection failed

I am a paid Pro user. I have already tried checking my network connection, restarting Cursor, logging out and logging back in, and even deleting the data and reinstalling the Cursor application.

I noticed that it started becoming almost unusable about 2 days before my payment cycle was scheduled to renew. Currently, there is only 1 day left in my payment cycle.

I’m not sure if this is related to usage limits.

Hi, please open your console (in the command palette, Developer: Toggle Developer Tools) and send us screenshots of any errors you see here!

And you can provide information about your device by clicking Help—About to make it easier for officials to find the problem.

@qwert I’m having the same problem. Can you give more step by step instructions for accessing Developer Tools?

When I do cntrl-shift-p and type Developer Tools, I get “Open Web View Developer Tools”, when I select it I don’t see anything new open.

Hey, which version of Cursor are you using?

Look at the log then is the network connection timeout

your computer to open the web page and so on are normal, there is no open vpn, in addition you are what version of cursor

I have the same issue, connection failed. And it seems like this connection failed always happens when the context becomes long. When i ask questions based on a long code file or ask multiple questions (in this case the context accumulates), the connection failed error appears

Same issue here.

Version: 0.49.6 (Universal)

last 12 hours same issue still not fix

for me, I have found that if you ctrl+shift+l to open a new chat window, it works again.
If a new chat window does not work anymore, I close cursor, change the name of the code folder, open cursor and open the new named code folder again, it works again.
I also found that if i change the folder name back to same old names that i used, it works again. But it has to be an old enough name, like a month ago.

I guess it could be because i am behind an cooperation vpn, there is probably a flow control.but i am not sure.

I hope somebody from cursor could see my comments and try to solve the problem. This connection failed error is push us away from cursor
