i was getting this as well … but i resolved it by closing cursor completely and opening it again. else it will keep giving me that error.

On a M1 Mac. MacOS 15.3.1, Cursor 46.7. I keep getting the same error repeatedly. Things have been working great until about an hour ago. Then non-stop errors and crashes. Cursor eventually crashes with a Code 5 error.
Rebooting the computer does not help. I was watching the memory usage and things looked fine, until I clicked send and it started generating. I watched the process “Cursor Helper (Renderer)” eat about 5 GB of memory before getting the Unknown Error Occurred message.

Hi, @CS-LS , how often do you create brand new chat/composer threads? Or do you mostly add messages to an existing chat/composer thread?

As often as possible. Sometimes I’ll start a new chat and it will immediately do this. Though I think I have figured part of what’s happening. It’s like a memory leak or something. It tends to happen more frequently after cursor has crashed a few times. A reboot and new chat helps. Though not always.
