Is it there any way to use the Codex subscription with Cursor Agent in the IDE?
I mean I still want to use my Ultra subscription for Grok, but in the same Chat I would like to be able to connect or use a custom model or something which locally connects to my Codex subscription for GPT models.
If something like that would be available I would not even care if Cursor uses the data for training.

Hi @Mihai_Cracan Thank you for the post! There isn’t a way to connect Codex to the Cursor agent. I’m sure you already know about the Codex extension for Cursor, so you have still have the potential to work side-by-side with Cursor Grok and GPT models using your Codex subscription. Hope this is not too disappointing!
Does this work in Cloud Agents too or just on my local machine where I’m logged in with my Codex subscription?
Basically it does not seem to work at all - no local and not with Cloud Agents.
What Kevin said is to use the VSCode Codex extension basically - which at that point is the official Codex extension - nothing related to Cursor.
