### Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

### Describe the Bug

According to [Automations | Cursor Docs](https://cursor.com/docs/cloud-agent/automations#identity:)

> Automations that run as you open pull requests as your GitHub account.
> Automations that run as the service account open pull requests as cursor.

However, my experience has been that every PR is opened as cursor no matter the settings. In many cases, I’d prefer this to still open the PR as me.

I created a test automation and have a run id of bc-51cbed76-c55d-4a9f-a142-84fc9e9740bc that created a PR as Cursor as an example.

### Steps to Reproduce

Create an Automation with “Open Pull Request” tool permission.
Run as me (not the team account).

Pull request will be opened as cursor instead of user.

### Expected Behavior

It seems like there should be an option for the automation to open the pull request as the user.

### Operating System

Other

### Version Information

Configured via [cursor.com](http://cursor.com)

### Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @dfritsch,

You’re right that this doesn’t match the docs today. Pull requests that automations open always go through the Cursor GitHub App, so they show up as `cursor` whether the automation runs as you or as the service account. Connecting or reconnecting your personal GitHub account doesn’t change it, and neither does switching the automation to Private.

This is a known issue the team is already tracking, and I’ve added your report to it, including your example run.
