Hey! This is a known issue. Chat in a separate window currently doesn’t handle keyboard input correctly.
Workaround: after moving chat to a new window, reload that window. Press Ctrl+Shift+P (or Cmd+Shift+P on Mac) > Developer: Reload Window. This should fix the Backspace and focus issues.
