Bedrock x Fable: Hard-capped at 200K context for custom AWS Bedrock Claude models?

Hey everyone,

I recently set up AWS Bedrock in Cursor. Fable 5 didn’t show up in the default dropdown list from Bedrock, so I it manually at the bottom as a custom model using the exact cross-region string: us.anthropic.claude-fable-5

The connection works fine, but context window is just 200K.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey @gabby!

Fable is currently capped to 200K when served via Bedrock through Cursor. We have a ticket open to improve this. Unfortunately, no workaround to share at the moment.
