Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
Since 2.0 update, I cannot type “@” in the agent text area. I have an AZERTY keyboard, so the command for @ is “Option + 0” on a Mac.
I checked, it seems to be bound to some composer shortcut. The same applies to other keys of my keyboard, using “Option + [digit]”.
I know I can change the shortcut to something else, but I feel like this is a bug, like setting up new shortcuts without taking into account all keyboard layouts (AZERTY not being some obscure layout).
A chat without @ is pretty broken, since this is to add context.
Steps to Reproduce
- Use an AZERTY layout on a Mac [Edit: it’s not the Mac keyboard, but an external, classical AZERTY keyboard. The Mac keyboard does not have these Option + digit keys, but all other normal keyboards do]
- Open a new chat with Cursor
- Try to type @, or [
Expected Behavior
I expect to not have “Option + [digit]” shortcuts set up that override normal keys.
Operating System
MacOS
