### Where does the bug appear (feature/product)? Cursor CLI ### Describe the Bug When pasting a paragraph of Chinese text containing approximately 100 Chinese characters into the CLI, there is a high probability that character corruption (��) will occur. ### Steps to Reproduce 1. Copy the following text to your clipboard: 「对公付款申请流程」 必须有发票, 这个流程, 就只能是“充值” 行为的流程. 之前里面有“冲销”的逻辑, 就没有用了. 2. Open cursor-agent in the terminal and paste the clipboard content. 3. One or more garbled characters (�) will appear in the cursor-agent output, for example: 「对公付款申请流程」 必须有发票, 这个流��, 就只能是“充值” 行为的流程. 之前里面有“冲销”的逻辑, 就没有用了 ### Operating System MacOS ### Version Information Cursor Agent v2026.08.11-e8db854 ### For AI issues: which model did you use? Hi @Kevin_Fujiang! I’ve tried to reproduce this but haven’t been able to. ![Screenshot 2026-09-01 at 10.40.02](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/cursor1/original/3X/4/7/4767ccee11414e3971788f34c5d86d5c89423519.webp) Could you run `agent upgrade` to make sure you’re on the latest version of the CLI? It looks like you might be a few versions behind (the latest stable in 2026.08.31) ---

Does it reproduce in the regular macOS terminal (not Ghostty)? ---

**It works fine in the Apple Terminal, so it should be a bug in Ghostty.** ---
