Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the detailed report.

Those two lines in Network Diagnostics are a bit misleading. They show up when the first chunk of a streaming response takes longer than about 2 seconds, and for connections from India this is usually just normal latency to our streaming servers, not an actual proxy on your network. So it’s not something in your setup. This is a known issue with slow streaming from India that we’re tracking, but I can’t share an exact timeline yet.

I see you already tried cursor.general.disableHttp2: true and it didn’t help. In that case, try what has helped other users on Indian networks:

  1. Change your system DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
  2. Install Cloudflare WARP free. It routes traffic through Cloudflare’s India edge nodes and can noticeably reduce latency.

After changing this, fully quit Cursor using File > Exit, not just closing the window, then reopen it and test in a new chat.

If it still hangs, please send:

  • The Request ID from the stuck chat hover the message > three dots > Copy Request ID
  • The email you’re logged into Cursor with

I’ll take a closer look. Let me know how it goes.
