Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report.

This error usually happens when the user isn’t a Cursor team admin. Only team admins can enable or disable repositories in Bugbot settings.

Could you please confirm:

  1. Are you a team admin in your Cursor team? (Check https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=team)
  2. Who initially connected the GitHub App to Cursor? That person is the installation owner.

If you need admin access to manage Bugbot repositories, the current team admin will need to promote your role in the Team settings.

Let me know what you find.

I don’t use the team plan. The link you provided is not working for me.
Also, now all the repositories are disabled even when hovering the toggle button.

I have the same issue described above. I do not have a Team plan. I initially connected the GitHub app to Cursor. Bugbot worked initially, but it just stopped and says “Only team admins can modify installation settings and enabled repositories”.

Thanks for the extra details. I see the issue. You’re both on the Individual Plan, but the system is incorrectly asking for team admin permissions.

This is a known issue, and the team is working on a fix. The bug showed up recently and affects Individual Plan users who originally connected the GitHub App.

I’ve escalated this to the developers. While we’re working on it, please try:

  1. Disconnect and reconnect the GitHub App at https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=integrations
  2. Check access in GitHub settings: Settings > Applications > Authorized GitHub Apps > Cursor

Let me know if reconnecting helped.

Hey, I’m also on the individual plan and running into the same issue. Disconnecting my GitHub account and reconnecting it does not help in any way unfortunately. Currently, every repository shows up as disabled.

I am running into the same issue on a Team plan while I am an admin on that account.

Interestingly, I do not have a Team tab on my dashboard while I can see on the top left that we are on the Team plan.

Hey everyone, quick update on this issue.

The team is working on a fix for Individual Plan users (@Shahar_Goldreich, @strotgen, @vladieboi). Sadly, reconnecting GitHub doesn’t fix it, this is confirmed. The issue is in the permissions check system, it incorrectly asks Individual users for team admin rights.

@jescode, your case on the Team plan adds a new angle. If the Team tab isn’t showing in your dashboard, but you see “Team plan” in the UI, please try:

Also, can you share a screenshot of your dashboard (with the plan visible in the top left)? That’ll help the team confirm whether this is the same root cause.

I’ll keep everyone posted as we get updates from the team.

Each time I clicked on the link it redirects me to the dashboard. Logging out and back in didn’t help. Looking closer, I can see a redirect response (308) when requesting the above direct link to https://cursor.com/dashboard?tab=team.

We are also facing a similar issue, all repositories are enabled. And I’m the admin as well but not able to run bugbot.

Also, https://cursor.com/settings?tab=team this is redirecting me to the dashboard.

Same here! I’m on an individual plan but cannot connect BugBot because it thinks I’m not the admin on my team despite not being on a team

Waiting on that fix. Thanks team!

Same here, individual Pro plan, no ?tab=team and in repositories can’t enable a repo.
In GH Cursor has access to all repositories.
logout > login doesn’t solve the issue

Same issue here, any ETA for the fix?

Hey, thanks for your patience!

The team is actively working on fixing this issue. Unfortunately, we don’t have an exact release date for the fix yet, but this bug is a priority.

As soon as the fix is ready, I’ll update this thread. Please keep an eye on notifications.
