I really want to love Bugbot - it’s pretty good at finding a lot of real issues, but the feedback loop ends up being awful.

My experience is generally:

- Push a PR
- Wait several minutes
- Eventually 1-2 BugBot feedback comments show up, never more - they’re usually about 70% fair comments which isn’t bad.
- Fix the comments, push.
- Move on to do something else.
- Come back and find there are more comments which were almost certainly valid for the original push as well, so I really should have been told about them up front.
- Loop until I get really angry at the amount of time this is wasting…

Something about the way comments are drip fed out is intensely irritating and burns a lot of time - I’m fixing bugs, but AI is meant to make things faster and easier, not make me run back and forth. What I really want is to have this review in Cursor before I push - I find the review button in the IDE doesn’t produce such a high quality review, but as a feedback loop it’s streets ahead.

Given the very high cost of Bugbot compared to eg. just setting up a Claude agent to review each PR (which seems to have a fairly equivalent hit rate for comments), the only advantage of Bugbot is the single comment-per-item, and I don’t think that’s worth the price…
