Built an MCP server to fix token burn in OpenCode — cuts edit tokens by up to ~96% in Cursor too

Hey everyone,

I do heavy multi-file refactoring in agentic setups (originally OpenCode, now testing across Cursor). The token arithmetic quickly became painful:

Every time the agent touches a 500-line file to change 3 lines, it reads the whole file, rewrites all 500 lines, and burns ~2,500 output tokens. Over a few multi-file refactors, fast requests and token budgets burn out on duplicate boilerplate.

To solve this, I built Neuro Engine—an MCP server that sits between the agent and your repository.

How it works:
Instead of dumping full files back and forth, Neuro Engine performs skeleton analysis on your codebase. The AI agent only needs to emit a compact 15–30 token change blueprint, and Neuro Engine reconstructs and validates the change deterministically on disk.

Because it runs on standard Model Context Protocol (MCP), it drops straight into Cursor’s MCP configuration with zero workflow changes.

The verified numbers from testing:

  • Up to ~96% token reduction on surgical edits to large files (measured peak: 15–30 tokens vs 2,500+).
  • 50%–65% reduction on new file scaffolding.
  • 80%–90%+ overall session savings across multi-turn refactoring runs.
  • Estimated 5x–10x workload leverage: Stretches a $20/mo plan across 3,000+ completed edits.
  • Kills lazy truncation: Models can never delete your working code with // ...rest unchanged... because they only touch targeted functions.
  • Zero broken repos: Backed by an instant revert engine (<2ms rollback) if an edit fails syntax checks.

It supports 16+ languages (Python, TypeScript, JS, Go, Rust, C/C++, C#, Java, SQL, Vue, Svelte, etc.) and wires in via a single config line.

Founder Pre-Order:
Official stable release drops on Tuesday, Sept 15, 2026 (early canary builds are being pushed to founders in Discord sooner).

I’ve opened the first 1,000 lifetime founder passes for a flat $100 (R1,620) before shifting to $29/month subscriptions. Includes an objective 30-day money-back guarantee based on your built-in neuro-engine stats telemetry.

Would love feedback from other Cursor users on your current MCP setups and what languages break your diffs most often!
