Can Cursor use an AWS Bedrock Inference Profile ARN instead of a Model ID?

Hi everyone,

I’m using Cursor with AWS Bedrock, and I have a question about model configuration.

Is there any way to configure Cursor to use a specific Inference Profile ARN instead of a Model ID?

In my AWS setup, I want requests to go through an Inference Profile rather than directly targeting a foundation model. However, Cursor seems to only accept a Model ID.

Has anyone found a workaround or knows if this is currently supported?

This is not supported today.

Bedrock Application Inference Profile Support

Hey @Viktor_Marinov, right now there’s no specific timeline for supporting Application Inference Profiles. Cursor still uses the standard Bedrock base model IDs, and there’s no way to pass a custom inference profile ARN. For now, the workarounds from my reply above separate AWS accounts and cost allocation tags are still the best options for splitting costs by team.
