Describe the Bug

I want to delete chats I do not want any more. I click “delete” they disappears, but later they magically appear again.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create draft.
  2. Try to delete it
  3. wait 4-8 hours
  4. Chat appears again.

Expected Behavior

Deleted chats should not revive after some period of time. This should be permanent.

Operating System

MacOS

Version Information

2.7.0 pre 92

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi Eugen,

Thanks for raising this! I can confirm that I have reproduced this exact behavior, and I have filed a bug report.

Appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Best,

Kevin

This should be getting prioritized soon. While not a critical issue, we have had several additional users report it. @Eugen_Konkov

Hi @Eugen_Konkov The fix for this bug has been merged, should be making it’s way to a release version soon. Thank you for reporting it.

This continues to happen, even after several updates/releases. Any update on this? It’s rapidly eroding my trust in Cursor to protect my privacy.

Hey @brn,
The fix for this has been shipped. Could you confirm which version of Cursor you’re currently on? You can find it under Cursor > About Cursor. If you’re on the latest version and still seeing deleted chats reappear, let us know and we’ll dig deeper.

Hey team, thanks for letting us know. Will post here once I have more details on the confirmed fix.
Sorry for the false positive.

This seems to have been fixed for me on 3.2.21, finally! Let’s hope it doesn’t regress again.

Still do not see the changes on CursorNightly channel

No new versions available. =(
