Can you please let us know when the chat-trashing bug has been fixed

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor CLI

Describe the Bug

As you know, updating cursor right now will trash all existing chats, arbitrarily destroying customer data. This is a somewhat astounding bug and i am very surprised that it does not seem to have even been acknowledged in previous reports.

Right now, it is not safe to update to or beyond 2.2.9. Can you please state that you are aware of the bug and please do not push any updates until the bug is fixed. Please. And then once it is fixed, announce that in some visible way so your customers can begin updating their software again.

As an aside but also as crucially, please make the necessary repairs to your release system that will test release candidates before pushing them onto your customers. It’s the most minimal step you can make towards becoming professionals. Thanks!

Steps to Reproduce

update your cursor to or past 2.2.9

oh come on. expected behavior is nearly anything except “trash customer data”.
