Cannot Focus on Chat Dialog After Updating to Latest Version (0.49.x)

After updating Cursor to the latest version (0.49.x), clicking the right-side chat dialog fails to focus the input field. The cursor does not appear, and keyboard input is completely blocked. This issue occurs consistently across all projects.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Reproduction Steps

  1. Open any project in Cursor.
  2. Click the chat icon in the right panel to open the dialog.
  3. Attempt to click the input area – no focus state or text insertion point appears.
  4. Keyboard input (including shortcuts like Ctrl+V) has no response.

Hey, that’s a strange error. Does it also happen with an empty Cursor window? Open the DevTools panel to detect any errors. Please send a screenshot of the errors.
