Cannot paste files and folders into Files via the Cursor Agent Window

Describe the Bug

Cursor Agent Window files cannot be easily added to or edited via copy and paste. I have to open the IDE to be able to do this. Please fix or add it. It slows workflow.

Steps to Reproduce

Copy and paste at least one file and one folder into the project directory via the Files option/view/window of the agent window.

Expected Behavior

The files and/or folders should be added like how it works in the IDE.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @MeLeesa, thanks for the report! You’re right that pasting files or folders into the Files view of the Agent Window isn’t supported yet.

I’m also used to having this functionality. I shared this with the team. :folded_hands:

In the meantime, you can drag and drop files or folders from Windows Explorer directly into the Files tree, and they’ll be copied into your project

Thanks for the quick follow-up and for flagging it to the team!

I tried the drag-and-drop workaround from Windows Explorer into the File(s) tree, but it also does not work either as the files never appear in the tree after dropping. I will have to continue opening the IDE to add files to the workspace until this is addressed.

Hi team,

I have updated to 3.19.14, but copy-paste, and drag-drop into the Agents window’s files area are still not working. The files area has improved by no longer always showing a new file everytime “Files” is opened, but this still needs attention and fixing.
