I won’t spent another 30 minutes rewriting everything out just for this crappy forum to erase it all again. Can’t move primary sidebar to right side, it always resets on Cmd + E.

You just had to go removing features that people depend on, and break the only remaining way to adjust the layout.

Steps to Reproduce

View > Appearance > Move Primary Sidebar Right

move right

Cmd + E

moves back to left

Hey, this is a known regression. Cmd+E resets the sidebar position to the left, even if you set it to the right. The team is aware of the issue.

The same bug is reported here: Toggle agent layout ignore sidebar location if set to right

Unfortunately, there’s no working workaround yet. The workbench.sideBar.location: right setting in settings.json doesn’t help either, since Cmd+E overwrites it directly.
