Can't click skills on new task in agent window

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When starting a new chat in agent window if you try to / to calls skills it does not let you click the top row except for the bottom edge of this. I would think it should let any click on it be a hover mouse instead of the cursor. It only gets the click visual cursor on the bottom edge of the top of poteto mode in the screenshot provided. The top row is being cut off for clicks is all.

Steps to Reproduce

In agent window make new chat, unsure if you need a big text prompt before doing the slash skills but it happens when /poteto for the skills popup

Expected Behavior

I would expect this to be clickable fully on the row as its visible in the card boundary still. Can test by clicking top edge of this and middle as well as the currently bottom click that only works now.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @Jonathan42, thanks for the report and the screenshot!

You’re right that it’s tied to the long prompt. When the prompt is tall, the skills menu has to open above the input and ends up reaching the very top strip of the window, which macOS uses for dragging the window. Clicks in that strip go to the window instead of the menu, so only the lower edge of the top row responds. This is a known issue we’re tracking.

In the meantime, any of these should work:

  1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the row and press Enter.
  2. Keep typing the skill name (for example /poteto-mode) so it’s the highlighted match, then press Enter.
  3. Make the window taller, or shorten the prompt, so the menu doesn’t reach the top of the window.
