Can't connect linear, getting email mismatch error

Describe the Bug

I’m getting this error “Linear and Cursor emails have to match.” when trying to connect cursor to linear, even though I’m using the same exact email address in both (and it shows so in the UI)

Steps to Reproduce

Click the “Hi! To use Background Agents, please link your Cursor account first.
Link your account →” link in Linear → this takes you to cursor page and shows two email addresses, one on cursor, one on Linear (both of them are the same for me), with a warning

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Same issue here. I signed up with Apple, so it has an @privaterelay.appleid.com email which doesn’t seem able to receive emails (so I can’t change my Linear email)

Edit: Oh, I see your emails do match. Regardless this is inconvenient!

Is there any way around this? I’d really like to use this feature. Happy to go through support. I have mismatched emails and with my current setup do not want to adjust them.
