Can't reach computer (Grok Bot)

Tried logging in on windows and android, both can’t connect. I don’t use VPNs. Tried a reset and it says “Grok bot’s computer may be in a partial state”.

The more details you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix the issue. Thanks!

Hey @robobobo
It’s on our side, not your network or login. Your Grok Bot computer has two copies right now, and the app is pointed at the one that never finished starting instead of the one with your bots.

Please stop pressing Reset/Update/Recover for now. They can’t complete in this state, and we want to keep the copy with your bots untouched. Your bots, files and logins are safe. I’ve passed it to the team to reconnect manually and I’ll update here as soon as it’s done.

Hey I’m having the exact same issue. Is this ongoing still?

I’m having the same issue. Will you have a global fix, or is it one-by-one?

Interesting… I’m unable to connect or update or recover the computer from the Windows client. But when I open the Android grok bot client, everything is fine and the agent can connect to the computer and health checks are clean.

Edit:
For the record… this computer had Kaspersky installed on it. Pausing protection allowed grokbot to work normally.

The computer had version 0.44. Just installed 0.47. Same issue.
The “Network Debugger” shows many issues. Can’t copy the results as text, so here’s part of them:

I noticed that my kaspersky anti virus was blocking the connection as well. Never had an issue before. So I’m wondering if something on their end changed that made Kaspersky block the connections.

@robobobo your computer has been reconnected on our side and it’s back. Fully close the app and reopen it, and your bots should load normally. Your bots and files are intact.

@glittle @RoamPT your case looks different from the original one here. On Windows a local antivirus (Kaspersky) is blocking Grok Bot’s connection, which is why the Android app works fine on the same account. Rather than turning protection off, add Grok Bot and Cursor to Kaspersky’s allowed or trusted apps so it stops blocking the connection, then relaunch.

If it still fails after allowlisting, please open a new thread with your Network Debugger results so we can track the antivirus side separately from the computer issue above.

I have the same issue on my mac and have been emailing for 4 days and no further forward. Can this please be looked at for me - on ultra plan and unable to work
