Cant Rename Project in Cursor Desktop Windows Agent Window

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

Currently project name is decided by folder name I select in my pc, when I try to edit the project name, it wouldnt let me(see screenshots for steps I am taking). Only way to enable save button is if I add another folder to it, which should not be the case.

Expected Behavior

It should just let me edit the name of project and should be independent from folder name, if anything it should actually ask user to name the project and not auto choose the name based on folder name.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @Sunny_N,

A single-folder project takes its name from the folder, and that Name field only applies once the workspace has two or more folders, so Save stays greyed out on a rename alone. That’s not intended behavior, and it’s nothing you did wrong.

For now: rename the folder itself and the project name follows it, or add a second folder in that dialog to make the typed name stick.

We’ve let the team know. I’ll follow up here if there’s an update.
