# Cursor SSH Remote Connection Issues with MacBook

## Environment

- **Local Machine:** Windows
- **Remote Machine:** MacBook
- **IDE:** Cursor (with VS Code installed on MacBook)
- **Connection Type:** SSH Remote

## Issues

### 1. Search Function Not Working

When trying to use the search function while connected remotely to my MacBook via SSH, I receive an error message.

### 2. File Search (CTRL + P) Loading Indefinitely

The Quick File Search (CTRL + P) feature gets stuck in an infinite loading state and never displays results.

## Additional Information

- VS Code is properly installed on the MacBook
- SSH connection is established successfully
- Other basic editing functions work as expected

## Questions

1. Are these known issues when using Cursor with SSH remote connections?
2. Are there any workarounds or configurations I should try?
3. Is this specifically related to Windows-to-MacBook SSH connections?

## Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Cursor on Windows
2. Connect to MacBook via SSH remote
3. Try to use the search function or CTRL + P file search
4. Observe the error/infinite loading

Try this solution:
