Can't sign in to cursor ide while I can sign in to cursor agent window

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

when I open the cursor , cursor agent window opened by default, but when I click ide button on the right top, the ide window opened but it indicates that I haven’t signed in yet.
So I have to click sign in and navigate to the browser and verify in browser, but when I finish this and navigate back to cursor, it navigate to cursor agent window, so I click ide button again, in the ide window, I was signed out again.
So I have to do it again and again and as a result I can’t login in ide window because of this stupid loop.

Steps to Reproduce

Hey @md_wdn, thanks for the report, and sorry you’re stuck in that loop.

You’re on Cursor 3.13.10, which is a couple of months old. Newer versions changed how an IDE window opened from the Agents Window handles sign-in, so please update first: Cursor menu → Check for Updates, then restart Cursor.

After updating, could you try this and tell me what happens?

  1. Quit Cursor completely (Cmd+Q).
  2. Reopen Cursor. The Agents Window opens.
  3. If the Agents Window asks you to sign in, sign in there and finish in the browser.
  4. Without signing in anywhere else, click the IDE button in the top right.
  5. Check whether the IDE window shows you as signed in.

If the IDE window still says you’re signed out at step 5, please reply with your new version (Cursor → About Cursor), a screenshot of that IDE window, and whether the Agents Window also asks you to sign in again afterwards.

After updating to latest version this issue gone, thanks.
