Chat ellipses menu option for chat summary

I want to be able to click on the ellipses menu and have one of the options be “Show chat summary”. Click on that and a pop-up window could appear that would just show me the major topics that the chat covered. It could even generate on the fly just by reading the chat thereby not burning tokens without authorization.

The issue is that I find myself digging through chats looking for a specific discussion topic that we may have covered before that I need to revisit, and I don’t know which chat has the context for it.

@Michael_Itaki We agree that chat search needs improvement! It’s something we’re working on.

In the meantime, I’d really suggest that you try using a cheaper model (like Auto or Composer) and simply asking Cursor directly to find the chat where you discussed ______.
