Chat responses leaking other user's content?

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

In a basic chat about editing some HTML and CSS to implement a graphic design, my Composer 1 agent replied with a completely off-topic answer about YAML. Like, it mixed up my answer with someone else’s.

Steps to Reproduce

I had interrupted the previous answer by pressing the STOP button and re-submitted. However, this doesn’t always cause this to happen.

Expected Behavior

The chat answer should be relevant to my content, and I did not expect a data breach to occur.

Potential personal data breach going on here

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This is definitely concerning, and we take potential data security issues very seriously.

While this could potentially be an AI hallucination or context confusion rather than actual cross-user data leakage, we need to investigate thoroughly. The team will analyze the request logs to understand exactly what happened.

I’ll pass this to the team for investigation. If this happens again, please capture the request ID and let us know.
