Hi, since yesterday I haven’t been able to use Cursor’s agentic chat; it just stays stuck saying “taking longer than expected”. Thanks for the help.

Hi! Same for me, it did not work (“taking longer than expected…” forever) yesterday. Today the same problem. :frowning:
Complete closing of Cursor and reopening the App helps but the problem resurfaces.
Running on a Mac , (latest) Version 3.21.18

For me was the same, I even change the hooks, the plugins because “the models say” every time I use the chat they are using to mutch context…Cursor have to fix it.

I’ve sorted it out; I had an MCP server that was causing a conflict.

I´m with this agent problem since the last update, everything was fine. Since that update I changed the plugins, mcp and the hooks and nothing works. I change VS Code for Cursor but now I´m wondering because I´m paying and doesn´t work.:pensive_face:

Hey @Dieter_Daniel @Leandro_Alves, thanks for sticking with this.

The chat getting stuck on “Taking longer than expected” should be fixed in Cursor 3.22.7, which is now rolling out to everyone.

Let me know if it still gets stuck after updating.
