# Chat typing issue

Using CMD+K to open edit inline works ok  
But typing inside Chat in Cursor does NOT work, rendering the AI part of the IDE basically unusable.  
This is a P1 bug

In MacOS 15.3.1 (24D70) with Apple Chip

Versions below:  
Version: 0.46.7

VSCode Version: 1.96.2

Commit: 3611c5390c448b242ab97e328493bb8ef7241e60

Date: 2025-02-27T07:19:47.490Z (2 hrs ago)

Electron: 32.2.6

Chromium: 128.0.6613.186

same issue here.  
opening the chat in editor made it work again, until it doesn’t. then closing the editor and opening it in sidebar, made it work again, til it doesnt, and so on… 😑
