Chats running on cloud keeps sending notification after I have viewed them in Cursor

I have two chats that are running remotely. They keep sending notifications periodically even after I have clicked on them and viewed them in Cursor.

Is this an intended behavior? If so, what are the ways to turn this constant notification off.

Thanks.

Hey, this is a known issue. Cloud Agent notifications can get stuck in a loop and keep coming even after you’ve checked the chat.

The team is aware. A couple things that’ll help:

  1. Are these in-app notifications inside Cursor, or OS push notifications (like in macOS Notification Center)?
  2. Are those two chats still running, or have they finished?
  3. What OS are you on, and what Cursor version?

As a temporary workaround, you can disable notifications for Cursor at the OS level (for example on macOS: System Settings > Notifications > Cursor). Not ideal, but it should stop the spam until this is fixed.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the reply. For now I turned off notifications in cursor’s settings.

In terms of your questions:

  1. OS push notifications on MacOS
  2. They have finished.
  3. MacOS 14.8.3 (23J220) and Cursor version: 2.5.17 (Universal)
