Cursor uses the OpenVSX marketplace instead of the VS Code Marketplace. If the CircuitPython v2 extension isn’t published on OpenVSX, it won’t appear in Cursor’s search.
Workarounds:
Download the .vsix file from the VS Code Marketplace and install it manually in Cursor (Extensions → ··· menu → Install from VSIX)
Did this work for you? If I try I see this error “Error: Unable to install extension ‘wmerkens.vscode-circuitpython-v2’ as it is not compatible with VS Code ‘1.99.3’.” The extension requires 1.103.1.
